2D Animations

Here are two of my first traditional hand-drawn animations I did in my first year of university way back in 2004/2005. The first animation is of one mans struggle to catch a fish and the other is of an unfortunate hayfever suffering Bumble Bee. (All charater design and animation Copyright of Andi Trower)

Digital Concept Art

I tried to spread my wings a little in my final year of my degree and with this I found the wonders of Photoshop! Here are some examples of my digital coloured concepts for the Ria and Ryan productions. There are a mixture of original drawings by Ian Mathews, Sarah Ricketts and Hazel Smith.

I also digitally coloured the backgrounds used in the Ria and Ryan films. Original drawings by Louise Duncan.

Ria and Ryan's Really Big Wild West Show

As well as 'The Really Big Pilot Show', the Ria and Ryan team produced a second episode based around Ria and Ryan's adventures in the wild west. The following clip is of the outtro I animated for this episode.

Remember to check out the rest of the film at Ria and Ryan's Really Big Blog.

Ria and Ryan's Really Big Pilot Show

During my final year at university I worked with a great team to produce a childrens animation entitled 'Ria and Ryan's Really Big Pilot Show'. My contributions to this project were very varied but my main roles were as an animator and Producer.

This is the latest version of the Introduction sequence and the following clip is of the Pirate scene, which I fully animated. The only sound is the character dialog, follow the link to Ria and Ryan's Really Big Blog if you would like to see the full final film and to find out more about these adorable characters.

My Animation Showreel 2006

video

This is my first post and appropriately my first animation showreel. I produced this film in the second year of my animation degree. I fully modelled and animated the horse and yes, I do realise the horse has no tail!
